Sultana, a primary teacher in the city of Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh diagnosed with Muscular dystrophy had lost all her hope until she found one with BeDonor. Sultana’s husband who’s a Taxi Driver told the story of her getting recovered of this incurable condition. He said we were a happy family making enough to give a living to a family of 5 with her wife, 2 sons, fortunately twins and a daughter. It was all beautiful until he discovered about the condition of her wife. Though it probably genetic but with the blessings of Allah, my kids were safe and healthy. With the growing inability to walk or stand properly, my wife lost her job and I wasn’t capable enough of bearing all the expenses by myself.

The doctor we were consulting with recommended to try the stem cell treatment for the disease as we were getting no results out of all the treatment we tried until then. Dr. Singh in New Delhi, who’s a general physician and an expert in stem cell research advised to get the stem cell treatment and it will help stopping the progression of such condition. Stem Cell Therapy was expensive, expensive than I ever though of; approximately 7-8 lacks. Though it’s much less in comparison to the same treatment abroad that could very well cost over $18000 to $20000 or more than 14 lack rupees, in Indian Rupees it was still far more than I could ever afford. It was BeDonor that came in to help after that. I got hopes after the first few donations came in to my fundraiser as I was totally unaware of this being an option to get a cure for a wife. It took a little more than 2 weeks but was totally worth it, I was able to raise enough to get the Stem Cell treatment for my wife. Had there been no BeDonor, I cannot imagine what would I have been through. My wife is now showing positive signs of recovery and the doctor says she’ll be able to walk and stand with some support very soon.
